Nepal EPS
Registration & HRD Korea Process
An overview of the full pipeline, from registering for EPS-TOPIK to departing for Korea. Timelines and specific requirements vary by round — this shows the general shape of the process.
- 1
EPS-TOPIK Registration
Candidates register for the CBT exam during an official application window announced jointly by HRD Korea and Nepal's Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) / EPS Korea Language Center.
- 2
CBT Exam (Listening & Reading)
Candidates sit the computer-based test, answering multiple-choice questions on workplace-focused Korean across two sections.
- 3
Results & Ranking
Candidates who meet the passing criteria are ranked. Passing is necessary but does not by itself guarantee a job offer.
- 4
Skill Test (sector-dependent)
For sectors like manufacturing, agriculture, and fishing, a practical Skill Test evaluates job-relevant ability alongside the CBT result.
- 5
Worker Roster Registration
Successful candidates are added to HRD Korea's roster of eligible workers, which Korean employers review when hiring.
- 6
Employer Selection
A Korean employer selects a worker from the roster for a specific job opening. Candidates generally cannot choose a specific employer directly.
- 7
Contract, Visa & Orientation
Once selected, a labor contract is signed and the E-9 visa process begins through DoFE, followed by a mandatory pre-departure orientation.
- 8
Departure for Korea
After orientation and final documentation checks, the worker travels to Korea to begin employment under the EPS program.
